Prep for Success AP Physics 1 is a 3-week course that covers key topics and skills needed to be ready for AP Physics 1. Through engaging problems and virtual experiments, we will work intensively in algebraic manipulation, geometry, unit conversion, vector, and graphical analysis.
Prerequisite: Previous Honors Science and Completion of Algebra 2 Honors.
This 3-week semester course is offered for first time credit, for credit grade replacement, or for non-credit enrichment in preparation for taking the course in the future. Please check with your school regarding credit from outside institutions.
Silvina Peiretti holds a Master of Science degree in Electronic Engineering. Teaching physics and calculus is her passion, and she feels incredibly blessed to be able to pursue this passion at American Heritage School. Through her classes, Silvina emphasizes critical thinking and problem solving while fostering independence and encouraging her students to take ownership of their learning process. Her students have consistently doubled the national average passing rates for AP Exams and tripled the percentage of 5s.
A class may be canceled if fewer than 6 students enroll. A specific teacher is not guaranteed. To protect the privacy rights of all, there is absolutely no videotaping or recording. Students must be age appropriate for the course. Young children must be supervised by a parent at all times. It is the parent’s responsibility to check with their child’s school when seeking credit for a course.
