2-D Animation is a hands-on creative course that will introduce students to the art of animation. Students will experience and understand the fundamental principles of traditional animation through storyboards, backgrounds, and character development. Along with computer animation applications, students will use pencil and paper to explore this art form. This course is meant to guide students through the process of learning basic animation using Adobe's Animate Application. Must have a computer with Adobe’s Animate installed.
Denise Roldan is a current multimedia and computer animation instructor at American Heritage School, and has worked as an industry professional in multimedia and animation. She is experienced in programs from the Adobe software suite like After Effects, Photoshop, and Animate.
A class may be canceled if fewer than 6 students enroll. A specific teacher is not guaranteed. To protect the privacy rights of all, there is absolutely no videotaping or recording. Students must be age appropriate for the course. Young children must be supervised by a parent at all times. It is the parent’s responsibility to check with their child’s school when seeking credit for a course.
