It is never too early to begin the scientific, mathematical adventure of working with machines as you learn to program an action. Our little engineers are the engineers of tomorrow. This program has been created for campers entering PK4 or Kindergarten as an introduction into the world of Robotics. Campers will be given fun tasks and color coded missions to complete as they learn basic coding on ipads. This program is sure to give your child a phenomenal first experience as they begin their exciting new journey into engineering and robotics.
Massimo Salafia earned his degree at the Engineering Trade School in Friedbeng, Germany and then worked as a Mechanical Engineer at Pheiffer GmbH, Faust GmbH and Gassella GmbH in Frankfurt, Germany. Mr. Salafia holds several intellectual patents on mechanical devices, and he brings his experiences to the Pre-Engineering Prototyping Lab at American Heritage. He has been a mentor for the FIRST Robotics Competition Team since 2009, imparting his knowledge with students to help them foster intellectual growth. His goal as an engineering teacher at American Heritage School and Robotics Camp is to share his passion for engineering and provide a learning environment where students feel safe, welcome, and motivated to be the next generation of problem solvers.
Camper groupings vary by program. Day Camp programs will be grouped by age/grade/gender, Specialty Programs are grouped together by age, interest, and/ or skill level. Programs are not guaranteed and require a minimum enrollment. Campers are supervised at all times by our energetic and fully-trained staff. Our counselors are carefully selected based on experience, character, and leadership.
