Course Description+

This advanced course in United States History Honors is designed to represent a clear, relevant, and balanced history of the United States as an unfolding story of national development, from the days of the earliest inhabitants to the present. This course is a blend of the traditional and the new. The strong narrative emphasis and chronological organization are traditional: the incorporation of the many fresh insights that historians have gained from the social sciences in the past quarter century is new.

Honors level classes can expect more rigorous requirements for assignments and assessments.

This 6-week course is offered for first time credit, for credit grade replacement, or for non-credit enrichment in preparation for taking the course in the future. Please check with your school regarding credit from outside institutions.
