Students who are working below grade level entering third grade will benefit greatly from this curriculum designed to give individual attention to each student. Basic skills of language arts, reading, and math are reinforced using a variety of teaching techniques and materials tailored to each student’s skill level. Executive functioning is incorporated into the daily syllabus, including study skills, organization, and problem solving.
Christina Macey currently teaches 3rd grade at American Heritage School. With a Master’s in Exceptional Student Education, and a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education, Christina has been in the field of education for 10 years
Linda Frank has taught at American Heritage School for 20 years. She has a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education and a Master of Science in Education. She has spent the last 28 years enjoying teaching and touching the lives of others. Linda has taught grades K-3rd. In addition, she has spent numerous years tutoring students to improve their reading and math skills.
A class may be canceled if fewer than 6 students enroll. A specific teacher is not guaranteed. To protect the privacy rights of all, there is absolutely no videotaping or recording. Students must be age appropriate for the course. Young children must be supervised by a parent at all times. It is the parent’s responsibility to check with their child’s school when seeking credit for a course.
